Hanging art in your home is a great way to add style

Hanging art in your home is a great way to add style and personality. Art pieces and photographs are personal and really make your home your own. However, just hanging any piece of art on the wall without any thought to how it is styled is a big mistake. You want your pieces to stand out and get the attention they deserve. If you do not take the time to choose proper framing and lighting, your goal to make your home personalized and stylish is going to fall short. When choosing your battery operated picture lights, it is important to consider a variety of factors. Do not buy a battery operated picture light before you have chosen the photo and the frame for the photo. You need to know exactly what you are highlighting before investing in the lighting. Otherwise, you might make the wrong choice.

Your first consideration is size. You need to consider the size of the photo, the size of the frame and the size of the light. Make sure the lighting fits onto the frame. Otherwise, the lighting is going to prove useless to you. Even if the lighting is the right fit, it still might not be the right size. You want to make sure all of the components of your art installation are scaled equally. If you have 80W Led Urban light a medium size photo and frame, you should choose medium lighting. If the light is too large or too small, it will either overwhelm the piece or not provide enough balance.

You also want to choose the right style. If your home is modern and you have chosen to frame a photo with a modern style frame, you will not want to buy lighting with an antique or traditional style. You might think because the lighting is small and it is supposed to go unnoticed its style will not matter. If you choose the right style, that is true. It will blend in and just be part of the display. However, if you choose an unmatched style, it will attract attention to your piece and look out of place.

Consider the amount of lighting you need to accent the photo or piece of art. If it is too bright, it will be unpleasant to look at the piece. If it is too dim, it will be no more noticeable than if there were no lighting at all. Try diffeent levels of brightness to determine what works best for the photo. Remember to do this once the photo is framed because the glass will create glare.

Finally, keep everything in good repair. Once you have chosen the right lighting, you need to display it in the right place, keep things clean and not let the photo frame or lighting break. Otherwise, you will have an art installation that looks messy and unkept. This will attract attention to the piece, but certainly not the right kind of attention. The message should be that the piece is special and you care enough to take care of it.
